State B-Ball Tourney

This past weekend we headed back to our old stomping grounds (Austin) for the State Basketball Tournament. This is a big tradition in my family since my Dad used to be a basketball coach and actually took several teams to the State Tournament himself (and won once!) back before I was born. I went for the first time at 6 months of age and have only missed 3 or 4 in my lifetime! Kurt started going with us when we were dating back in college. Somehow his parents started attending also since they love to follow high school basketball as well! I mainly go now for the social and family aspect of it (as well as the good food we always hit up in Austin during the intermission breaks!). It was fun to be able to take Sienna this year and she was of course super spoiled by all her grandparents and held constantly! She was a really good girl for 2 of the 3 days, so we were thankful for that- especially given that the weather was so cold and rainy! We also enjoyed a fun brunch out with some of our Austin friends on Sunday, but silly me forgot to get the camera out! Guess I was too busy holding a little someone named Sienna!!

Sienna is now able to sit in the Bumbo for short periods of time! She's holding her head up already at 3 months!

Mommy and Sienna in our hotel room.

This was strange- some random guy walking around the State Tournament dressed like Borat- notice the reactions on everyone's faces in the background! Keep Austin Weird, right??

Sienna at her first State Tourney!

Grandpa Walt holding Sienna at a lunch break. She is staring intently at a TV in this pic- good thing we don't let her watch them because that's all she would want to do!!
